Debbie Shaw, Counsellor I am a professionally qualifified and experienced Practitioner with a Post Graduate Diploma in Person Centred Counselling. I am an accredited and registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). I fifirst realised I wanted to be in a helping role when I volunteered at MIND several years ago. I felt a great deal of satisfaction at being given the opportunity to work with clients and see them progress through the process of therapy. Alongside my own private practice, my work with MIND is ongoing and has given me a wealth of experience with both male and female clients. I work with Adults, Children and Young People, Couples/Relationships and Families. I am also trained in Bereavement counselling, including how to assist those bereaved by suicide. Beginning therapy can be a big step towards being the healthiest version of yourself and living the best life possible. No matter what challenges you may be facing, through therapy you can change self-destructive behaviours and habits, resolve painful feelings, improve your relationships and more. No-one should have to face a mental health problem alone and within my work I cover a range of issues including anxiety, depression, low self- esteem/low confifidence. I offer a compassionate service allowing you to share your concerns in a confifidential and non-judgemental environment.Together we will build a therapeutic relationship where you feel comfortable and safe enough to explore your experiences and diffificulties with me. We will work through your thoughts and feelings and through our counselling sessions you will be provided with the opportunity to gain thetools you need to encourage growth and move towardschange.
