Formerly known as Lifestyle Gym on Wellington Road (opposite Tesco), the building has been completely refurbished and continues to attract visitors.
The Greenfifield Centre boasts a new fifitness Centre, caféé, hairdressers and beauticians and award-winning opticians.There is onsite car parking for up to 10 vehicles, including one disabled space, with easy access to all the businesses.
The METCONGT gym is a 45-minute interval based workout, designed to increase your aerobic capacity. The team of professionals offer high-intensity circuit training with various programmes available every day.
House of Hair and Beauty offers a modern, clean and spacious salon and provides a range of quality hair and beauty services.This is perfect place to enjoy a wide range of treatments within a relaxing and tranquil environment.
Continuing the theme of health and fifitness is Allegro Optical, a multi award-winning optician who moved into the Greenfifield Centre in January. Managing Director and co-founder Sheryl Doe is the current National Dispensing Optician of the Year.
It’s been a bit of a whirlwind of a time for the team at Allegro Optical since they opened in January. They have welcomed nearly 1000 new customers and have scooped no less than 5 local and national awards in the process.
In March the group won the Yorkshire and Humber “Federation of Small Businesses” (FSB), “Scale-Up Business of the Year” award and Senior Dispensing Optician and Co-Founder Sheryl Doe,won the coveted “Dispensing Optician of the Year” award at the National Opticians Awards in Birmingham. In addition they have won awards for services to the Arts for helping musicians with eyesight problems. In some cases, saving their musical careers.
In May the team also received the National (FSB)“Chairman’s Award” for triumph over adversity, following Managing Director Stephen Tighe falling seriously ill just months after founding the company. He was hospitalised for almost three months. Stephen is back at work full time and is leading the team forward.
In June, Allegro Optical also scooped “Family Business United” (FBU) “Yorkshire Family Business of the year”.“We are trying to represent our fabulous part of the world with above and beyond levels of service and professionalism,” said Stephen. “Our aim has always been to provide fifirst class eye-care in a friendly and relaxed environment.To treat all our customers as if they were family members and to ensure that everyone receives the very best advice and service at all times.” The group currently employs seven family members across two generations.
The group also specialise in musicians’ eye care and have become the leading authority in the fifield. They are also the fifirst and only optical group to gain registration with the British Association of Performing Art Medicine (BAPAM). Many Musicians travel from all over the world for a consultation with the team in both Greenfifield and Meltham.
