LOCATION SHOOT
SOAP fans have been getting in a lather over recent Coronation Street episodes.
  And eagle-eyed viewers have confifirmed Saddleworth has again been used for location shoots even if Lorraine Kelly may not have visited.
The feuding Platt family bumped into the popular television presenter during a holiday park mini break.
Scenes featuring Lorraine, including her being shot in the leg by an arrow delivered by Gail Platt (actress Helen Worth), were fifilmed at the Forest Camp Activity Centre near Northwich in Cheshire.
However, lodges at Dovestone Holiday Park, Greenfifield were used as the Platt’s accommodation base.
Actor Jack P Shepherd, who plays David Platt, revealed:“While we were fifilming these episodes me,Tina (O’Brien) and Lucy (Fallon) decided that we would stay in the lodge, the main reason being that there was a hot tub, so we stayed over and had
our own little jolly.
“We had
such a nice
time, it was
really funny
because we
went into the local town for dinner like a little family.
“It must have been a bit surreal just seeing the Platt family walk into the restaurant for dinner together and sit down at a table next to you.We had our own little holiday.”
Corrie stars and fifilm crew are no strangers to the area.They have previously shot scenes at the Royal George on Manchester Road while Robert Fletcher’s paper mill is currently earmarked for development under proposals in the Greater Manchester Spatial Framework has previously been the backdrop for a number of violent storylines.
