FESTIVE NEWS UPDATE BY TRICIA LEIGH Our Annual General Meeting has been moved back a month and will now take place on Wednesday 7th November. This is an integral and mandatory part of the WI calendar to ensure that the WI is fairly and correctly managed. We are really pleased to announce that the Saddleworth W.I. Christmas Markets will be held this year at a new venue,The Saddleworth Rangers Rugby Club, Shaw Hall Bank Road, Greenfifield on the 2nd December.This will to be a great day out for all the family, community based and dog friendly, with wheelchair and pram access. Santa will be in his grotto with a present for each child and they will have the opportunity to pet and feed his reindeer. So kick start your Christmas shopping with a large variety of stalls and visit the food hall in the marquee where you can also treat yourself to a hot chocolate or mulled wine in the seated area or enjoy a Mann’s Wharf Hog Roast whilst listening to brass bands to help get you into the Christmas spirit. Hot and cold drinks and food will be available all day.There will also be a chance to win our bespoke hamper full of Tesco’s fifinest festive goodies. All profifits from this event will be donated to our charity for this year, Oldham Mountain Rescue who will also be in attendance on the day.We look forward to seeing you there. Our monthly meetings are held on the fifirst Wednesday of each month in the Wimberry Suite at the Royal George, Greenfifield and we would like to say a big thank you to Jason Worthington and his staff for all the help and cooperation we have received from them throughout our fifirst year at the venue.
