Lifestyle GET YOUR GIGGLE PANTS READY FOR THIS SEASONS... Saddleworth’s OFF THE RAILS Comedy Club events Jenny Collier would be sold out already! Off The Rails have teamed up with CRIBS International who do vital work with refugee families in a camp near Chalkida, Greece. We don’t have the full line up just yet but vegan, dog owner, father of two, Batman fan, comedian, actor, writer, radio presenter and 2011 Celebrity Mastermind winner Justin Moorhouse will be on the bill plus acts to be confifirmed. £15 on the door or £12 via the Off The Rails website with paper tickets at The Royal George soon. Steve Gibson Danny Mcloughlin Saddleworth Rangers return to the Royal George on Saturday 7th September to raise both laughs and funds! The ubiquitous Mick Ferry will be headlining the show with Jenny Collier opening. Jenny moved from the sleepy Welsh mountains to London to launch her career in stand up comedy. So far the highlights have included appearing on a BBC panel show with Jo Brand and the lowest point when an audience member told her ‘You should be a stripper.’ although she claims these are both secretly highlights. Andrew White and Rob Riley fifill in the gaps. £15 on the door or £12 from The Royal George or via the Off The Rails website. Mick Ferry returns (See! We said he was ubiquitous!) on Sunday 29 Sept to introduce one of the most distinctive acts on the circuit! When a legend reaches a certain point in their career, it’s time to ease up on doing legendary things and reflflect on an exemplary life. Sol Bernstein has reached that point, and he invites us to listen to his tales of the high life with the biggest names in showbiz, musings on how the world has changed, and being just an ordinary Jew with world-beating wit, unbounded talent and death-defying Mick Ferry chutzpah. Stockport’s Steve Shanyaski and Ben Turner complete the line up. £10 online or from the venue. If being a great cause was enough to sell out a show Saturday 19th October Eddie Brimson justin Moorhouse Steve Gribbin has been a fifirm favourite at Off The Rails for two decades and we can’t wait to hear his new gags and scurrilous songs on Sunday 27th October! Now, that in itself would be cause for great celebration but Cockney comic and former football hooligan Eddy Brimson (“The crowd loved him”...The Guardian) is here too alongside Chester’s Danny Mcloughlin and new act Sam Serrano!
