The Preview Day of “The Locals” by the Group of Fourteen local artists. Meet the artists.
1pm – 4 pm in the community gallery at the Saddleworth Museum. Free entrance.This exhibition will be on until 17thNovember.The group will have one wall of paintings dedicated to those works of art in a “silent auction” with proceeds going to the “Save Saddleworth Church – St. Chad, Church Lane, Uppermill” restoration appeal. Stage 8 Tour of Britain events
A parade of vintage cycles (weather dependant) with volunteers in period costume. Crafts for children inside the museum galleries (admission prices apply) and refreshments in the community gallery.
15th September

Heritage Open Days at the Saddleworth Museum.
In the community gallery a rolling slide show with hundreds of old photographs of Saddleworth’s “gone but not forgotten” buildings and landscapes for £3. This ticket will then provide free admission to the four museum collection display galleries.There will also be a special point of sale for “Saddleworth Past Times” available for £4.95
20th September
Fun Team Quiz evening with Supper at the Saddleworth Museum.
7pm for 7.30 pm prompt start.
£6 per team and places need to be reserved from the museum reception.Tickets are now available. 23rd September
