3D Dynamos Open The Door to the Wider Community

One of the largest clubs in Saddleworth, 3D Dynamos, are opening their door to the wider community.

The club boasts teams at all age groups from the soccer school (for 4-6 year-olds) through to open age football (16+) and the Vets (over 35).

The last five years have seen the club develop, grow and thrive on the love of football within our community.

None more so than the under 7-11s (school years 2-6). Where the club boasts twelve teams and approximately 120 children; and is showing no sign of slowing down. They have at least two teams coming through the soccer school for the 2020-2021 season.

3D Dynamos Academy

Building on the club’s success they have now developed a soccer school for 7-12-year-olds at Waterhead Academy. Affectionately the soccer school is known as 3D Dynamos Academy due to the location. This was set up to accommodate the ever-growing interest of players and parents who wish to become part of the club.

The idea behind this was to encourage new and existing players to attend the sessions, giving new players somewhere to train and develop their skills. It offers two growth opportunities for the player and the club. Firstly, when there are enough players for a new team at a specific age group they add another team to their existing junior teams. Secondly, when a space becomes available in an existing squad then the players from the 3D Dynamos Academy will naturally fill the gaps.

So far so good as the club have already found teams for 3 new players attending the soccer school and have created an extra team which began life in the East Manchester JFL in January 2020.

The sessions help to harness core skills, passing, moving, shooting and dribbling all combined in a fun and organised session. Every session has two qualified coaches from their pool of volunteers. This helps to keep the sessions fresh and exciting as each coach has different ideas. Our coaches are Steve Smith – current under 7s coach. Jonny Fielding and Jamie Edmondson – current under 8s coaches. Mark Daniel and Andrew Broadbent– current under 9s coaches and John Lees – current under 10s and under 12s coach.
