The ‘new’ Diggle based its headquarters at Diggle Band Club and played their home matches on the Sam Road ground famously known as ‘The Tip’. The club played its first two seasons in the Saddleworth League until its demise in 1962, before moving on to the Ashton League, Oldham Amateur League, South East Lancashire league. They then joined the Huddersfield & District league in 1993, where they currently play their football.
The club currently have 2 open age teams that compete in Huddersfield & District league Division 1 and Res Division 1 respectively and were awarded FA Adult Charter Standard Club status in 2008.
