amazing this summer
With an eye for style and a fifinger on the pulse for whats hot this season, then let we introduce you to a new, fun and forward thinking private boutique.
Poppet’s Place, is owned by the lovely Marie Travis and is helped by her team of fashion hungry enthusiasts. After a career in sales and over 2 years in perfecting her knowledge of the industry, Marie is excited about starting her new venture in Saddleworth.
“I wanted to start something positive after a health scare.” Says Marie. My love of fashion and helping ladies make themselves feel great was the perfect outcome, so Poppet’s Place was born.”
Catering for all sizes and styles for all occasions, Marie and her team regularly post blogs, videos and hilarious outtakes on their facebook page. To book an appointment to visit Marie at the fabulous Poppet’s Place Boutique, then you can send them a message via facbook. Once there, Marie and the team will guide and help you with no obligation to buy, so just come and browse at your leisure.
If anyone is interested in organising a special fashion event at local venues or at home, then send Marie and the ladies at Poppet’s Place a message on Facebook today where you’ll also fifind all the news and details of forthcoming events and latest styles for the coming season.

Viki and David Taylor welcome you to Authentic, a wonderful gift shop/gallery in the heart of Uppermill. It is a treasure trove of unique, high quality, handmade gifts. With over 40 local artisans ranging from jewellery, artwork, wood, glass, dog beds made from whisky barrels, photography, leather work, map papercuts and robots, to name a few. You can see our robots being made on BBC One’s programme, Money For Nothing.
Some of the 40 local artisans are Woozlewood, Sara V Gartside Designs, Jan Davey, Steve Robinson Photography, Olganna, Bits and Bobbins and Wood Dragon Arts.
“By its very nature handmade is unique. These products have never seen a production line, which is why we are so passionate about them. Our artisans of course want to make a living from their work, but there is much more to it than that. Each piece is created with a little love, combined with a great deal
of passion and skill.”
