Paranormal Night at The Standedge Tunnel Visitors Centre.
Well what can I say it was an amazingly difffferent kind of an evening for me and at the outset I really didn’t know what to expect.
There were four people in our party, one very sceptical, two totallyconvincedthatwewould be talking to dead people and me, somewhere in the middle. We took our places at a table near the front, sat with our drinks in a convivial atmosphere and chatted about what we were anticipating... The Soul Reapers arrived, which sounds scary, in reality though they were a genuinely lovely group of people, with a down-to-earth approach to their Interest. They introduced themselves and told us their plans for our evening; they also impartedthatthiswastheirfifirst event and they were a little bit nervous.
As the event began the spectators were divided into two groups. One group visiting the cafe fifirst, the other staying in the visitors centre. We sat quietly and intrigued as the team leaders went though their previous experiences and the nature of the various monitoring equipment they had brought
with them; it looked like very expensive and professional kit. After a while we swapped locations and then moved back to the main meeting point for a chat and refreshments.
The food was greatly welcomed after a couple of hours of ghost busting. I also must add that the Standege visitor Centre was a cracking location, the staff were friendly and helpful, drinks reasonably priced and the environment charming.
The evening fifinished with a ‘get your hands on our ghost busting kit’ and have a go yourself. Breaking into much smaller groups we were allowed to spend the last hour of the evening wandering and testing where ever we liked, which I thought was very generous of the Soul Reapers, who continued to facilitate throughout.
Well, didwefifindanylostsouls, fifind out for yourself by booking into the next event! I would thoroughly recommend it!
