Emmaus Mossley’s 2020 Community Celebration & Clearance Sale will be a family-friendly event for supporters, local residents and visitors alike.

A Fun Day Out For All
The Emmaus Mossley’s 2020 Community Celebration & Clearance Sale day will include live music and stalls from local community groups alongside a clearance sale of furniture, household items, vintage wares and fashion.
Paul Barnes, one of the people supported at Emmaus Mossley, said: “We’ve become a thriving hub within the community where people like to come and meet up. This event will hopefully bring lots of people together to celebrate, have fun and give their support to Emmaus Mossley.”
Emmaus Mossley supports 26 formerly homeless people by providing them with a stable home and provides work in a community setting. Whilst at Emmaus, people are given the opportunity to help to run the Second-hand Superstore. They complete training and develop their skills.
Hazel Hodkinson, Retail Manager at Emmaus Mossley, said: “We’re teaming up with local organisations, artists and musicians to host a fun-filled day for second-hand treasure hunters of all ages. In between a good charity shop rummage, you’ll have the chance to learn about exciting local projects. You will also be able to listen to live music, take part in some interesting activities and keep the kids entertained for a few hours.
The 2020 Community Celebration & Clearance Sale will take place on Saturday 21 March from 10 am.
All proceeds from the event will go to support the Emmaus Mossley charity.
Emmaus Mossley is a charity that offers home, work and personal support to a community of 26 formerly homeless people.
Their huge charity store in Mossley sells a wide range of secondhand furniture, clothes, bric-a-brac, vintage goods and upcycled items.
The store also provides meaningful work for companions. It also generates the majority of the funding that sustains our charity and community.
