WILLOW WOOD VIRTUAL DOG SHOW

Do you think your dog is a winner? Is your pup the cutest ever? Or does your dog enjoy rolling in the mud, making funny faces or dressing up? If so, Willow Wood wants to hear from you.

“We’re having to look at different ways of fundraising at the moment,” said event organiser Laura Marinelli.  “So we decided to hold a virtual dog show and it’s had an amazing response.  Within hours of launching on our social media, we had dozens of photos flooding in and entries have just continued.  We’re just so grateful to everyone who has joined in the fun and sent us their photos.”

There are four different categories:

Funniest

Best dressed

Cutest

Scruffiest

So if you think your dog fits any (or all!) of these categories please go to the Willow Wood website to sign up.

It’s just £2 per entry and you can enter any or all of the categories, and send up to 6 photos in each one.

Laura continued. “We’re asking pet owners to email me their photos once they’ve registered online.  They’ll then be uploaded into our Facebook albums where the winner in each category will be the photo with the most likes, so if you think your dog has got what it takes please share our page and ask family and friends to vote. I’ve even entered a photo of my own dog Zara – she’s 18, but still going strong!

“I have to say though that our supporters have got some gorgeous four-legged friends!  At the moment we’ve got most entries in the Cutest category and the scruffiest is really lagging behind.  If you have any shots of your dog looking bedraggled after being caught in the rain, or in desperate need of a haircut why not enter your photo? We’d love to see them!

“There will be a hamper full of doggy delights for each winner, and I’d like to thank the local pet shops who have kindly donated treats for the winners’ hampers.  We’ll be putting the information on our website as soon as possible.

To enter, either follow the link on the Willow Wood Hospice Facebook page or go to www.willowwood.info and simply click on the Virtual Dog Show poster on the home page which takes you straight through to the registration form.  Then, email your photos to laura.marinelli@willowwood.info  The competition will be live until midnight on Thursday 16 July with the winners announced the following day.
