Flying High at Saddleworth Golf Club

A BB medal at Saddleworth Golf Club produced a dramatic CPO on nett 59 with the formidable pair of James Fahey and Adam Pritchard edging out Dave Ashton and James Mooney.

James a Jet 2 pilot certainly took off again after finding the dizzy heights at the top of the leader board and Adam was definitely not just a passenger and was in ‘Tip Pot’ form and definitely more of a co-pilot than a passenger!

Adam showed his red hot streak just a few days later in the first qualifying competition since the course reopened.

He played the game of his life off his 11 handicap shooting +1 to finish with an incredible 46 Stableford points.

The highlight of his round was an eagle three on the 18^th and he now joins the exclusive single-figure handicap group.

Adam revealed that his success was down to his fantastic long game since being custom fitted in pro-Andrew Earlam’s Performance Studio with new clubs.

Matthew Bowker was also in fine form finishing with 44 points, one more than Dave Ashton.

More celebrations came from Ben Simpson who scored his first hole-in-one.
