Double Delight for Grasscroft Gardeners

There was double delight for Grasscroft Gardeners, Thomas Adamson and Doreen Tetlow from Grasscroft, who recently were invited to attend a Prize-Winning Ceremony at Smokies Hotel. They were presented with not only a Merit Award but also 1st prize overall in Oldham Council Private Garden Competition.

Thomas and Doreen have become Merit Award Winners several times and 1st Prize Overall Winners in 2016,2017 and now in 2019. They have also scooped numerous other awards including the 2919 Saddleworth in Bloom Competition.

Following the success of the Open Garden Party for Christies NHS Foundation Hospital in July, the couple were delighted to announce that the event raised a record amount of £1404.55.

Thomas said: “A lot of hard work goes into it  and we’re delighted to win these prizes and was amazed by the amount of support from several local and national businesses who were more than willing to get behind us.”
