The Saddleworth Snowball

The Saddleworth Snowball kicks off Saddleworth Distilleries celebration of the festive period. It is the first of our 12 cocktails of Christmas (more to be found on our social media pages). The base for this cocktail is Doctors Favorite Gin, which we launched in June of this year, and pairs it with a wonderfully sweet and fiery ginger liqueur, Cointreau, and fresh lemon juice to cut through the bold flavours and freshen everything up. Perfect for keeping the cold at bay whilst you put your feet up in front if a roaring fire.

Ingredients:

1 egg white
50cl Doctor’s Favorite
50cl Cointreau
25cl Kings Ginger
juice of 1/2 lemon

Method:

Into a cocktail shaker add: ice cubes, two measure of Doctors Favorite Gin, two measures of Cointreau, one measure of Kings Ginger Liqueur, the juice of half a lemon, and the white of one egg. Put the lid on the cocktail shaker and shake vigorously for 30 seconds. Strain into a martini glass, add grated cinnamon or nutmeg to garnish. Finally sit back, relax and take a sip.
