Saddleworth lawyer, Paul McGladdery
A Return to the Patch for Property Lawyer
Saddleworth lawyer, Paul McGladdery, brings over 35 years of experience into his new role with Pearson Solicitors and Financial Advisers.
It’s also a family affair for Paul who joined the local firm this month, as its 60 years since his mother also worked for the Pearson firm in the 1960’s
Paul, a Chartered Legal Executive, has joined the expanding commercial property team at Pearson. He brings with him a wealth of experience of city centre practice with “no stone unturned” during a career that has included stints at large regional practices, a smaller niche practice and local government.
A proud Oldhamer, Paul is delighted to be moving to work in the area and said: “I‘ve dealt with Mike Pitt, the head of commercial property at Pearson on numerous occasions over the years and I didn’t think twice when this opportunity arose. Pearson’s reputation in the town and beyond, far excels that of their competitors. It’s a perfect move for me given my existing contacts in the town and my personal knowledge of the area.”
Paul will be working alongside the bespoke Commercial team at Pearson and his personal expertise lies in commercial conveyancing and the complex drafting it requires, as Paul says he is known for his calmness and ability to guide clients through difficult transactions.
Aside from work he plays guitar and sings in a touring acoustic duo. A lifelong fan of comedy, he’s also written two short novels satirising his continuing journey as an amateur musician and songwriter.
Welcoming Paul to the firm, Commercial Partner, Christopher Burke, said: “As a busy commercial team it’s great to have someone of Paul’s expertise and calibre on board offering bespoke commercial property law. He joins our growing commercial property team from Nexus Solicitors in Manchester where he was a partner for 17 years.
“Our commercial property team really has strength and depth to deal with the wide range of clients we work with and we see his appointment as key in providing quality service to our existing and growing client base, as well as providing crucial support to the commercial team.”
