What Kobe Coffee has been up to in lockdown…
During the pandemic lockdown, the whole Kobe Coffee family who used to be active and always on the go refused to sit back and relax.
Coffee on the Go
Lots of time was spent updating the coffee shop, getting the new outdoor seating area ready for visitors and opening up a new area of the business: the Takeaway Hatch. Due to its outstanding success, the Takeaway Hatch is here to stay, enabling visitors to grab a quick coffee or sandwich without having to go inside.
The Tranquil Garden
Kobe Coffee has opened up the tranquil garden at the back of the coffee shop with covered tables and socially distanced seating. Surrounded by plants, shrubs and trees, the garden area is an attractive secluded sun trap away from the main high street. The tables inside have also been rearranged with a plant-lined walkway to help customers feel safe when they visit.
Kobe Coffee has worked hard throughout the lockdown to ensure all changes prioritise care and concern for the safety of staff and customers. Frequent sanitisation, an NHS Track and Trace system, ventilation and social distancing are adhered to at all times. Recent customers have reported how comfortable and safe they have felt when they have visited and it is their aim to ensure everyone receives a friendly welcome and excellent customer service.
Their Coffee
Their speciality coffee from Outpost Coffee Roasters is precisely weighed directly from the grinder every single time they make a coffee. In addition, the extraction is timed carefully to ensure the perfect espresso for you to enjoy. Their Swiss Water Decaf is freshly ground for those who would like to enjoy a smooth coffee without the caffeine.
They have now introduced a Single Origin Guest Coffee to their drinks menu alongside their well known Timber Town House Blend. This South African bean from Musasa, Rwanda offers coffee lovers an alternative that is sure to impress with its sweet and fruity notes of wild plum, strawberry and cacao.
