Chelsea & Philip’s New Year’s Wedding
On New Year’s Eve 2019, Philip Miller married his one true love Miss Chelsea Martin at the stunning hilltop setting of the Grains Bar Hotel overlooking the beautiful Saddleworth Countryside. The beautiful service at the hotel was followed by a lavish reception within the hotel grounds and banqueting suite.
The Guest’s
The festive wedding party included Natalie’s parents Michelle Martin and Harry McGarrigle, as well as Philip’s parents Angela and Stephen Miller. The honour of best man fell to Phil Scott who did a splendid job, whilst Oliver Miller did his parents proud as page boy. Chelsea’s matron of honour was dutifully performed by Nikki Smith. Emilie Miller and Connie Stott were magnificent as flower girls.
The Dress
The bride wore a stunning Lucca wedding dress by designer Maggie Sottero. The princess dress included a bodice of beaded embroidery, accented in Swarovski crystals, as well a ballgown skirt comprised of tulle and trimmed in horsehair, beaded straps complete the soft V-neckline and scoop back. Simply stunning.
To compliment Chelsea, matron of honour Nikki wore a lovely mulberry long chiffon dress with a cross over top by JJ House, whilst the flower girls wore ivory dresses with lace tops from Next. In addition, the gentlemen wore stylish navy blue tweed suits complete with pale pink ties.
The Cake
The couple’s wonderful 3 tier wedding cake was certainly a show stopper. The naked cake had flowers going up the sides with a clock on the top to emphasis the new year.
The Wedding Team
The whole day was captured perfectly by Stuart Hornby. The flowers were expertly created by Lisa Holroyd from Grains Bar Hotel and consisted of a stunning trailing bridal bouquet with beautiful deep reds, and blush pink flowers and buttonholes to match. A special mention must also go to Miles Greenwood (Dj, Dancefloor and Selfie Mirror) who was fantastic and had everyone up dancing all night.
How They Met
Reflecting on her big day and her new other half, Chelsea said;
“We both met in work, Phil spotted me first when I was on my induction when I walked past his department in a white paper overall. The following day I was in the canteen having an allergic reaction to a tomato (so my face was a bit swollen), and Phil approached me (as he found it kind of funny) and started taking the mick out of me and it just went from there.”
“We picked Grains bar hotel for the venue as when we went to see it, the first thing we embraced was the stunning views. Funnily enough, it was a Marquee when we booked it so we had no clue what the new extension was going to look like, however, the ceremony room and view sold it for us immediately. Lisa and Louise were very nice and helpful and made the day absolutely amazing. We couldn’t have picked anywhere better. The whole Grains Bar Hotel was exceptional from start to finish.”
The Honeymoon
Following their big day, the couple now plans to honeymoon on the Greek island of Rhodes in August. Their 5-star hotel will have its own private beach and Michelin restaurants which can’t be a bad thing.
