Saddleworth SANTA DASH 2019

Favourable dry Saddleworth weather welcomed around 3,000 people who enjoyed this years ever popular annual Saddleworth Santa Dash in Uppermill.

Organised Once again by the Saddleworth Round Table, the official start to Christmas was a roaring success once again as the event raised more than £13,000 for local charities.

In total there were more than fifteen hundred people taking part in their Santa suits participating in either the 2km or 5km courses.

Music was supplied by radio station Revolution 96.2, who assisted the running (or walking) Santa’s with a warm-up prior to the race.

After the race, Santa then led a procession from Uppermill square to the museum where the crowds enjoyed a fireworks display and music from local brass bands and other artists.

A great annual event once again… Well done everyone!
