We love a great local business success story, so what better way to kick off this feature than an interview with Yvonne Carey, one half of local quality windows and doors installers Roy Carey Bespoke Ltd….

1) Lovely to catch up with you Yvonne. So Roy Carey Bespoke Ltd, how has the last year been?

The last year has been extremely busy and exciting. A new venture that has proved to be enjoyable, rewarding and successful, supported by the loyalty of both new and returning customers.

2) How long have you been in the industry?

Both Roy and myself have been in the industry in excess of 35 and 40 years respectively, collectively sharing 75 years of knowledge and experience.

3) What would you put your early success down to?

Our success is down to a solid foundation which has been built around trust, honesty, reliability and reputation. Our commitment and understanding of our customer’s requirements and the long-term relationships formed around continued customer care and satisfaction.

4) Has the industry changed much over the years?

Yes, most definitely. Customers are looking for, require and respect a much more personal relationship and in our experience they prefer to support local businesses committed to serving the community as opposed to becoming another statistic in the much larger national company cycle.

5) What advice or products would you recommend to anyone looking to upgrade their doors or windows?

Choose wisely and don’t make compromises. Give lots of consideration to the various styles, colours and designs available to obtain the perfect appearance to compliment the character of your home, then relax in the knowledge that our products will be fitted to the highest standard and level of security.

6) What are your at are the future plans for the business?

To continue offering a high quality product, installation and customer service.

7) Finally Yvonne, we’ve enjoyed working with you over the years, would you say the magazine has been a good advertising platform for you?
